Kentucky Bachelor & Bachelorette Jet Charter

Kentucky Jet Charter arranges group flights for bachelor and bachelorette weekends, both for Kentucky groups heading out of state and for friends flying in to celebrate here. Going out, the usual choices are Las Vegas, Florida, the Gulf Coast and the Caribbean. Coming in, it is often a weekend in bourbon country or Derby week in Louisville.

Leaving together and landing together

When everyone books their own airline seats, the group arrives in bits and pieces across the day, and somebody usually gets stuck on a connection. On a charter, the whole group meets at one Kentucky airport and flies out together, so the celebration starts when the aircraft lands, with everyone there.

Golf clubs, ski gear and everything else

Golf bags, ski gear and a few bottles picked up in bourbon country take up more room than most groups expect. Smaller jets have limited space for bags, so list the big items when you send us the passenger count, and we will choose the aircraft with that in mind.

The Sunday flight home

Sunday plans often run late. A charter can usually move with the group, subject to the crew’s schedule and aircraft availability, so let us know as early as you can if the plan changes. If the weekend was in the Caribbean, the flight home can clear customs at Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport, Blue Grass Airport in Lexington, Kentucky, or Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International.

Getting the headcount right

We size the aircraft to the number of passengers, so give us the number you really expect to travel and tell us as soon as it changes. A party that grows from ten to fifteen after booking may not fit the jet we quoted. Groups of four to eight usually fit a light or midsize jet. Groups of nine to sixteen generally need a super midsize or heavy jet, or two smaller aircraft flying together.

Our heavy jet page shows the larger cabins that work well for a full wedding party.

Vetting Behind Every Trip

Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:

  • FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
  • Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates.
  • Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
  • Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.

Kentucky-Specific Patterns We Plan Around

Kentucky’s busiest weeks follow the racing calendar. The Kentucky Oaks and Derby fill Louisville on the first weekend of May, and Keeneland’s spring and fall meets and its horse sales bring owners and buyers into Lexington, so those dates book first, and the FAA manages arrivals into the Louisville airports during Derby week. The rest of the year, flights leave the state for business, for Florida in the winter and for family vacations. Most Louisville trips use Louisville Muhammad Ali International or Bowman Field, Blue Grass Airport in Lexington sits across the road from Keeneland, Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International in Hebron serves the north of the state, and Bowling Green, Owensboro and Paducah cover the south and west. Ice and snow in the winter and strong spring thunderstorms are the weather we watch most often.
